Welcome to the Kancolle Kai Wiki, a wiki that focuses on documenting the Sony® PlayStation Vita™ port of the Kantai Collection flash game, Kantai Collection Kai (KanColle Kai or KC Kai for short). The game is a single-player adaptation developed by Kadokawa Game Studio/Kancolle Unei Chinjufu (C2 Kikan) and distributed by Kadokawa Games Inc. which falls into the strategic simulation category. The game itself is built with a PlayStation Vita version of the Unity3D runtime.
Admirals (players) are given the ability to build up to 8 fleets with various configurations of ship girls, clear new maps not seen in the flash version, pet their loved ship girls (kanmusu), declare war on Akagi's bauxite eating habits and more. If you saw it in the flash version, it's here in the vita. While the port shares much of the same mechanics as the original flash game, there are some major differences that will throw even the most hardcore admirals for a loop when playing it compared to the flash version up to a certain point where the development team took the game off life support. The current version at the time of writing is Version 1.02.
Unfortunately, the game was discontinued and pulled from sale both retail and digitally in January 2017 and is unlikely to receive any further official updates. You may still be able to buy the physical copy of the game, but please note that you will not be able to translate the game with the translation files provided by the KC Kai Translation Team.
We'll try to keep the memes to the minimum and make sure we don't provide any false information, but if you see something not quite right please don't hesitate to flag it for investigation. Some content may change without notice as well, so keep an eye out for additions, removals and edits to pages.
Todo: Prettify this part. Buttons and tables maybe?
